Miss Earth T&T 2012 Meets With The President Of Petrotrin

San Fernando, October 25, 2012 - Miss Oneness T&T Amryl Nurse, Trinidad and Tobago's delegate for the Miss Earth Beauty Pageant of the Philippines is very active in her studies concerning her advocacy for the environment. Miss Nurse paid a courtesy call visit to the President of the state owned oil company of Trinidad and Tobago - Mr. Khalid Hassanali and the Corporate Communications Manager - Ms. Gillian Friday on Tuesday 9 October. On Tuesday 2 October, she also met with the Manager of the Health, Safety and Environment Department -Mr. Shyam Dyall of Petrotrin who shared his knowledge about some of PETROTRIN's projects about energy efficiency, human and environmental protection. Mr. Dyall is also the Acting Chairman of the Environmental
Management Authority (EMA).

Petrotrin is very proactive and a leading company that focuses in their commitment to effectively manage the country's energy resources. To commemorate World Environment Day 2012 the company engaged in a nation-wide exercise by donating plants to 50 schools.

Petrotrin considers this to be one of their long term goals. These plants would be nurtured by the students in these schools and Petrotrin has invited Miss Earth T&T upon her return from the Philippines to assist them with visiting these schools as a positive and active role model in the advocacy for a greener and safer environment for all. On hand to also greet and share some of the projects of Petrotrin was Mr. Jaganath Seeram Maharaj - Head HSE Corp and Ms. Avryl Mohammed - Snr. HSE Specialist.
