San Fernando, July 17, 2013 - In keeping with two of the three PRIMARY aims and objectives of the Miss Oneness Trinidad and Tobago Beauty Pageant are “The Assist Those In Need” and “Sensitizing Our People About Our Environment”. For this year, we are pleased to announce that we have also included the launch of our GREEN Fundraiser Project.

The Miss Oneness T&T Beauty Pageant is one which is truly unique where our queens are advocates for the environment, assisting those in need and most of all promoting our beautiful country and the warmth of our people at their respective pageants, as we recognize that we can channel our passion for others and lend our support for a greater good.
At, our last year’s pageant we were successful in a Grand Raffle for a resident of the Couva area who had brain surgery and we also granted a Grade 3 student of the Orange Valley Government Primary School a full year scholarship.
This year our company has “adopted” to continue to assist this student until he writes the S.E.A. examination  {which is a mandatory national exam that takes a child into secondary school} in 2015. The student is doing remarkably well and we wished to applaud him for his efforts. Mr. Daren Ganga, one of Trinidad and Tobago’s Sports Ambassadors and Motivational Speakers attended our function for this student last year, and having spoken to him recently he was pleased to learn that he has been a great inspiration for this child and his progress, and looks forward in meeting the student once again for the official presentation.
We have identified our ‘assist those in need/green” platform/project to be the:
SMENCILS PROJECT - An amazing project – The World’s Only Gourmet Scented Pencils!!

50% Profit

We believe that the Smencils fund raiser is indeed a unique concept in raising funds and it is marketed as a “unique learning” element in doing something good, safe and reasonably low cost to consumers, especially our students to make the world..our home..our planet a safer haven..starting with one pencil at a time!!
Funds raised from this project would be utilized to enhance a better quality of life for our children.

  1. We propose at the Marabella Government School, Marabella to enhance its surroundings, where trees, flowers, shrubs, garden, recycle bins and a fountain with a seating area would be placed. This will give the students a sense of ownership to have a better understanding and appreciation for nature and their environment as well act as a hands-on approach learning tool, where it will benefit those writing the S.E.A. Exam as our Minister of Education has now included in the curriculum.
  2. Continuance of the academic scholarship for the student of the Orange Valley Government Primary School.

Already we are proud that The Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago and the Solid Waste Management Company Limited {SWMCOL}of Trinidad and Tobago have graciously offered their sponsorship and assistance in part. Both companies have been extremely committed towards the overall education and sensitization of T&T nationals to environmental stability and by encouraging the youths of our proud nation to make a difference in protecting our earth.
Our national delegates have welcomed this initative very enthuscially and have already started to promote this project. The Smencils only cost $10.00TT and national promotion will commence next week.
Further to this, the other “Assist Those In Need Project” is a Grand Raffle for one of T&T’s noted photographers in the beauty and fashion industry – MR. RUSSELL “BUTCH” LIM CHOY. Butch as he is popularly known has been ailing with a ruptered knee and we have seen it only appropriate to assist someone with whom we have loved and admired as an artist with financial assistance to help alleviate some of his medical bills.

Our Grand Raffle is 5 chances for $1.00TT and will be drawn on Monday 23rd September 2013. Butch will receive all its proceeds. Prizes for this raffle are:
