San Fernando, December 20, 2012 - Charming 23 year old Amryl Nurse proudly represented her country of Trinidad and Tobago at the 12th staging of the prestigious Miss Earth Beauty Pageant, in Manila Philippines.
Miss Nurse was much excited and was enthralled by the number of activities all relating to the environment and sensitizing the children of Philippines. All the delegates were grouped and she was placed in GROUP 1 with Miss Czech Republic, Slovenia, Nicaragua, South Africa and Brazil to name a few.

Miss Earth T&T was also part of the global Liter of Light programme. She took part in numerous tree planting activities, environmental seminars and most all sharing her knowledge about the beauty of her homeland and her country’s strong commitment in securing our environment.

Each of the activities mimicked the Olympics where they all vied for the gold, silver and bronze medals in their respective groups. Miss T&T copped two medals. One being the GOLD for PLANTING THE MOST NUMBER OF TREES and SILVER for BIG SISTER DAY ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE. She was also placed 4th in the Resort Wear Competition.

The pageant company would like to specially extend their heartfelt THANKS to all those who assisted her with her preparation. Our pageant company has pledged to assist further with a playpark for these remarkable students. The research phase is already underway and confirmation of the design etc., would be made available early next year. To the students and most of all the dedicated and supportive teachers under the stewardship of its Principal Mr. Dean we wish to thank you all for opening your hearts to our Queen and we look forward in bringing greater smiles to these precious students.
